For the last few years, I have been lucky enough to be featured in Hitched Wedding Awards as a Dorset wedding photographer. The awards celebrate wedding suppliers across the spectrum, from wedding venues, to florists, hair and make-up, videographers and, of course, photographers.
To be in with a chance of winning one of these awards, you have collect a minimum of 8 reviews with an average rating of 4.75/5 on the Hitched platform from January 1st - December 31st 2024. I was lucky enough to receive 11 five-star reviews on the site last year, so I met the criteria! I love the Hitched platform and the way it easily shows future couples verified reviews and some examples of the work I have carried out during the season. I try and upload as many real weddings as I can and always try to keep my photos up to date, even though my Instagram page is possibly the best way to see me and about during the season and the very latest examples of what I do. I'm definitely getting better at keeping that updated.
The great thing about the 2025 award is that I was featured in my local newspaper, the Bournemouth Echo, which I was super-excited about. Essentially, the article goes into the Hitched Wedding Awards, what they are about and what you have to do to win. You can read all about it here.
What's great is that it coincided with my first wedding of the year which took place at arguably the best registry office in the south, the Poole Guildhall, so was a great way to kick off this season.
